Lots of scars
« on: August 05, 2018, 10:33:59 PM »
Heya, this is Seth/Rig. Since Rig is a stubborn son of a gun that loves to fight until he literally can't anymore, I foresee him dropping quite a bit. Since this is such a defining thing for him, I'm considering keeping track of how many times he drops and adding a tiny scar for each time. Yes it'd be a little tedious to keep track of but I could do it in a notebook and not all of them would be visible all the time.

Any ideas for doing permanent-looking scars? Most scar prosthetics are for gushing horror wounds. I want stuff that looks old and healed.

Ryan may have some ideas!

Just as an FYI - Heroborn scarring generally occurs when they heal wounds naturally rather than magically.

Oh neat! Maybe I'll add some scars from previous engagements then.

Hey there.

This is RyAn, (Darius Silver in game).

Scars can be fun. One of the best ways to get scars is a stuff called rigid collodion. It's a liquid that you apply to your skin, and as it dries, it puckers the skin inward, giving you the effect of scarred tissue that looks craggy. You can also apply prosthesis via scar wax, which is a wax / sort of cotton mixed with some liquid latex (I believe) which can give you a raised scaring effect. Though, I will warn you, that will likely have more of a chance of popping off of you as you play.

You can enhance the effect of the scars by utilizing make up of various colors to accentuate the area you apply rigid collodion or scar wax to, because scars often look different colorwise than your unblemished skin. So you could have pale silvery scars, or dark angry purple / red scars.

Darius USUALLY has a face full of craggy scars, but alas.... I actually just forgot my makeup kit this weekend.

I hope this helps!
